

About Cristina:
Cristina discovered the Gyrotonic Method while being on a Tango -Journey in Buenos Aires, encouraged by an invitation of Eugenia Parilla, a wonderful Tango dancer and experienced Gyrotonic trainer.
Quickly she became addicted to practicing the Gyrotonic Method and took part in almost daily small group classes.
Practising the Gyrotonic Method not only enhanced her dancing but also improved her generell knowledge of Body-Movement, Fitness and Range of Motion of Spine and all joints.
While living and working in Berlin she received further training received with the Master-Trainer Anke Hauerstein.
In 2017 she moved to Barcelona and participated in many private and group classes in Spains biggest Gyrotonic-Barcelona-Gracia Studio lead by Mastertrainer Alba Marcos-Fosch who brings a huge wealth of knowledge about Body-Movement and Rehabilitation from her additional education as a dancer and physiotherapist.
In Februar 2020 she was fortunate to start her formation as a Gyrotonic teacher doing the "Pretraining-Course" in Buenos Aires with the Mastertrainer Sandra Messina.
During 2021 and 2022 she completed the formation to the Level 1 Gyrtotonic Trainer with her Master-Trainer Alba Marcus-Fosch in Barcelona.
At the same time she completed the Course Gyrotonic Psoas Principles.
Further courses include the Gyrotonic Application for Paraplegic Spinal Cord Injuries in May 2024
And the Gyrokinesis Cardiovascular Breathing Course Progession 1 in December 2024.
Dancing and Teaching Experiences:
Cristina began to study classical ballet at the age of 4 and took regular classes several times the week through school and university.
While studying at university she taught regular childrens ballet classes, directed a childrens ballet after the Story of "The little Prince" (A. de Saint Exupery) and also taught regular adult jazz classes while directing the Musical Show Group "Charisma" in Germany for several years.
Moving to Melbourne in 2000 she started Tango dancing in 2007 and taught classes mainly with Alberto Cortez with whom she also performed in his Solo-Tango-Company.
In 2009 she competed in the Victorian and Australian Tango-Championships and won 1. Place in the Victorian Championships in the Salon Category and placed 4th in the Australian Championships in the Salon and Stage Category.
In 2011 she created and directed the Tango Company "Suenos Azules" who performed in Milongas in the Melbourne Tango Community in 2012.
She gained further Teaching Experiences giving Tango-Workshops in Berlin with the Tango Dancer Jorge Pahl.
Other Qualifications:
She was granted the "Postgraduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy" of the University in Melbourne in September 2008
She is a member of IADMS, the International Academy of Dance and Medical Science since 1995.
She is also an Orthopedic Surgeon who has worked over 12 years in Melbourne as well as many years in Germany.
